“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.”

My Approach

Grounded in Evidence
My work draws on evidence-based approaches that have demonstrated effectiveness for the concerns you bring to therapy. I combine this research with clinical experience and an understanding of your individual needs, strengths, and goals. I value transparency and will help you understand the reasoning behind our approach, so you feel informed and involved in your care.

Focused on Meaningful Action
Changing how we respond to difficult thoughts, feelings, and situations can create meaningful shifts in our lives. Together, we identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, work to reduce avoidance, and build practical skills to help you move toward what matters to you. Our work includes both space to explore your emotions and opportunities to practice new ways of responding, within sessions and in everyday life.

Attentive to Your Context
Your experiences, relationships, and environment are important parts of understanding you. I look beyond individual symptoms to consider the broader circumstances shaping your well-being, including family dynamics, life transitions, and sources of stress or support. When helpful and appropriate, we may involve caregivers, partners, or other important people to strengthen communication and support change beyond our sessions.

Guided by Your Goals
Therapy should feel purposeful and responsive to your needs. We work together to define your goals and what meaningful progress would look like in your life. Throughout treatment, we check in on what is helping, what remains difficult, and where our approach may need to shift. My aim is to help you develop greater confidence, flexibility, and skills you can continue to draw on beyond therapy.

Built on Connection and Collaboration
A strong therapeutic relationship begins with feeling heard, respected, and understood. You bring expertise in your own life, and I bring clinical knowledge and a collaborative, curious approach. I recognize that psychological research and treatment models do not always reflect every person’s culture, identity, or lived experience. I welcome open conversations and feedback so we can adapt our work to honor your values and find an approach that feels relevant to you.
